Outdoor improvements. Here are some photos of progress made on our new place thus far.

Photos taken the month we moved in.

Shortly after these photos were taken we burnt the grass and started cutting down brush and trees. Some evenings we would burn the brush/tree pile in the middle of the pond.

This past Monday Kevin rented a bulldozer to clean out the pond. Oh what fun he had. He cleaned out the pond and finalized some dirt work around the house in 8 hours.

Here is what the place looks like now. Our house sits in a low spot so most of this dirt on the outer edge of the pond will be hauled to the house. Kevin will build up the dirt on the north, south and east side of the house. On the west side he removed dirt and created a ditch so the water will run away from the back of the house. There is still a lot to do but it is coming together very nicely.
