It has been a fun month preparing for Christmas. We decorated the tree last weekend. Avery insisted on putting each ornament on the tree and telling me each time how cute or beautiful the ornament was. It was a challenge to keep Paige busy doing something else at that time. ;)
Today we visited Santa at Hy-Vee. The girls received some good one-on-one time with Santa. Avery wants a red barn with horses for Christmas and Paige wants a new toy. Well, that is at least what Avery told Santa. They both did well.
After visiting Santa we spent some quality time shopping.
Avery also greatly enjoyed the advent calendar. Each day she opens a door to get a piece of chocolate. About three times a day she will ask "what day is it?" I remind her that she has already eaten her chocolate for the day. Good thing I have extra chocolate in the house. Three more days till Christmas!!!! We are ready.
